The Dodgeball Victoria Cup (DV Cup) has a brand-new format in 2018. This year, the knockout-style cup competition takes place over a single weekend from Friday, June 15 – Saturday, June 16. 
Friday, June 15 – Mixed Division
Saturday, June 16 – Men’s & Women’s Division
DV CUP FORMAT & NATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
The DV Cup is a straight knockout format, with no second chances. Each division will feature all the ADPL Victoria Clubs, with the top-two teams per division qualifying for the national DFA Cup, taking on the top-two teams from the Dodgeball NSW Cup.
The Australian Dodgeball Nationals weekend will be held from December 1 – 2 in Sydney, which includes the following:
DFA Cup & ADPL National Finals Group Stages – Saturday, December 1
ADPL National Finals Group / Knockout Stages & State of Origin Series – Sunday, December 2
DV CUP STRUCTURE:
MIXED DIVISION | Friday, June 15 | 7:00pm – 10:00pm:
- 7 Teams
- Premiers from the 2017 ADPL Victoria Mixed Division automatically proceed to the Final 4 (Surrey Hills Sloths have taken Riverstone Raptors’ place as the highest ranked team).
- Draw Structure: Round 1, Semi Finals (Final 4), Final.
- Greensborough Dodgers are entering a Division 2 team into the DV Cup. Players cannot swap between the Dodgers’ Division 1 and Division 2 teams during the event.
MEN’S DIVISION | Saturday, June 16 | 12:00pm – 2:30pm :
- 7 Teams
- Premiers from the 2017 ADPL Victoria Men’s Division automatically proceed to the Final 4 (Skye Rainbows).
- Draw Structure: Round 1, Semi Finals (Final 4), Final.
WOMEN’S DIVISION | Saturday, June 16 | 2:30pm – 5:00pm:
- 6 Teams
- Top-two teams from the 2017 ADPL Victoria Women’s Division automatically proceed to the Final 4 (Vermont Vipers and South Morang Stingrays. Stingrays move up to the second ranked team, taking the place of Riverstone Raptors).
- Draw Structure: Round 1, Semi Finals (Final 4), Final.
DV CUP DRAW:
The draw for the DV Cup will be announced on Tuesday, June 5.
DV CUP PAYMENT:
Payment structure will be as follows:
Round 1 – $75
Semi Finals – $75
Final – $75 (teams who play a third match in their division will have the final game discounted at $50).
